Walmart is a place to buy practically everything. You can even get an oil change while you shop, fill a prescription, buy groceries, furniture….you get the picture. Cheatsheet has done some research and found these items that you should never buy at Walmart.

Groceries – Walmart sells more groceries than any other retailer in the United States, but that doesn’t mean consumers actually like shopping there. The store came in dead last in Consumer Reports’ 2017 ranking of America’s supermarkets. Though the prices are right, people were less impressed with the produce selection, bakery, and meats.

Store Brand Supplements – A report by the New York attorney general’s office found that many of the store-brand herbal supplements sold at Walmart, Target, Walgreen’s, and GNC didn’t contain any DNA from the plants listed on the label. Walmart was the worst offender of the bunch.

Gift Cards – You can find better deals on gift cards at Costco or online sites that sell gift cards at a discounted rate.

Furniture – Less expensive sometimes means less quality.“Yes, their furniture may be cheap, but if it only lasts a short time, you will spend far more money in the long run,” Kathy Woodard, a home decorating expert, told CBS News.

Cellphone Plans – Walmart offers a prepaid plan called Walmart’s Straight Talk. Tom’s Guide declared the plan the worst phone carrier saying that they had the slowest LTE speed.

Electronics – The models they sell are lower quality, according to GoBankingRates. And if you are in the market for a laptop, consider using a manufacturer for your purchase.

Outdoor gear – You can find better deals and quality of outdoor items at REI or online Sierra Trading Post plus both stores offer a much better selection.
